About the Australian Nacra 15 Class Association
The Australian Nacra 15 Class Association (AN15CA) represents all youth sailors of the Nacra 15 catamaran across Australia.
The Nacra 15 is the official World Sailing youth multihull, and it provides a fast, exciting, and technical pathway into high-performance sailing, from Youth Championships through to senior catamaran and foiling classes.
We’re a growing community of sailors, parents, and coaches who value teamwork, learning, and fun. Sailors range from around 13 through to early 20s, and whether you’re new to the boat or chasing international competition, you’ll find support and friendship both on and off the water.
Our association works closely with Australian Sailing, state youth programs, and clubs to align training and competition with the national youth pathway. We run class coaching and development clinics, and support a national racing calendar including State and National Championships.
Just as importantly, we recognise that the community around the boat is what keeps people coming back. At every event we aim to foster a welcoming environment, encouraging sailors to help each other in the boat park, and creating opportunities for parents and volunteers to connect and share the journey.
As a young class in Australia, we’re excited to help new teams get started. If you’re interested in trying the Nacra 15, connecting with sailors, or learning more about the pathway, get in touch, we’d love to hear from you.
